Fostering professional youth champions for SRHR.

Who We Are

Fostering professional youth champions for SRHR.

At Usawa Health Foundation, we are committed to fostering the next generation of professional youth champions in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Our mission is to empower young individuals, across diverse fields including healthcare, law, media, and journalism, with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become leaders and advocates for SRHR.

We recognize the critical role that lawyers, media professionals, and journalists play in shaping the discourse around SRHR, advancing legal frameworks, and ensuring that the voices of young people are heard. By equipping youth with the tools to drive change in both the legal and media landscapes, we aim to create a more inclusive world where every young person has access to comprehensive healthcare, education, and the right to make informed decisions about their bodies and futures.

What We Do

01.

— Education and Training

Usawa Health Foundation focuses on equipping young people with knowledge and skills in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) through structured training programs. We organize workshops, seminars, and online learning sessions that help young professionals, including healthcare providers, lawyers, journalists, and community leaders, understand and advocate for SRHR.

02.

— Mentorship and Leadership Development

The foundation believes that mentorship is key to nurturing future leaders in SRHR. Through mentorship programs, young advocates are guided by experienced professionals in healthcare, policy, and advocacy, helping them build confidence and leadership skills.

03.

—Advocacy and Community Engagement

Advocacy is at the heart of Usawa Health Foundation’s work. we engage policymakers, community leaders, and the general public in discussions on SRHR, aiming to influence policies and remove barriers that prevent young people from accessing reproductive healthcare services.

04.

—Research and Evidence-Based Advocacy

Usawa Health Foundation supports youth-led research to generate reliable data that informs SRHR advocacy. We conduct studies on topics such as access to contraception, youth-friendly healthcare services, and the impact of SRHR policies.

05.

— Partnerships and Networking

Collaboration is essential for Usawa Health Foundation to achieve its goals. We work closely with local and international organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and youth networks to strengthen SRHR initiatives. Through these partnerships, they gain access to funding, resources, and expertise that enhance their programs.

06.

— Digital Health and Innovation

Recognizing the power of technology in healthcare, Usawa Health Foundation leverages digital platforms to promote SRHR awareness and services.
